Memorial services for 89-year old Margaret Bork are Sat June 25, 2022, at 10:00 at New Hope Friends Church (6 miles south of Hay Springs and ½ mile west) 

A fellowship dinner will follow the services at the senior citizens center in Hay Springs.

A memorial can be given to New Hope Friends Church or a charity of the donor’s choice.

Margaret Lillian (Hahn) Bork was born on October 6th, 1932 to Regina Blackledge Hahn and William Hahn. She went to be with the Lord May 12, 2022.

Margaret grew up in the Hay Springs area and went to rural elementary schools and Hay Springs High School, where she graduated High in 1950. She attended one year of Chadron Normal School, then taught school one year.

Margaret married Norman H. Bork on March 24, 1951. To this union were born four daughters: Norma Jean, Susan, Donna and Nancy. 

Margaret and Norman lived in the Hay Springs area and farmed, except for their time in Alaska when Norman was in the Service.

She enjoyed spending time with family and friends, raising animals and flowers. 

She loved flowers and flower gardens. She won several contests for flower arranging and made many flower arrangements for many activities.

Margaret was involved in many things in her community and belonged to several organizations, including the Extension Club, Rebeccas, Eastern Star, American Legion Auxiliary, VFW Auxiliary, and Farm Bureau. 

She was a 4-H leader and was active in Her church, New Hope Friends.

Margaret was preceded in death by her parents Regina and William (Bill) Hahn, her husband Norman Bork, her granddaughter Brandi Peterson, and two sons-in-law Max Anderson and Brad Sauder.

She is survived by her daughters Jean Grant of Dallas, Texas; Susan Sauder of Hay Springs; Donna McKay (Richard) of Hay Springs; and Nancy Hill (Greg) of Denver, Co; seven grandchildren, six step-grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild.

Chamberlain Chapel of Chadron is in charge of arrangements for Margaret Bork.
