Marsha June Loafer was born on March 8, 1984 in Pine Ridge, SD to Viola Julia (Clifford) Loafer and Francis William Loafer. Marsha made her journey to the Spirit World on May 17, 2021 at American Horse Creek near Kyle, SD.

Marsha went to school at Rockyford and Batesland for her grade school years, and Little Wound for high school. She also attended Tree Haven in Yellow Bear near Allen, SD.

She loved the country and she loved her horses, so after her graduation she lived out on her mother and father’s ranch. She bought chickens, bottle-fed calves, and even a little bottle fed colt. She also had a miniature goat, a pig, 2 big Clydesdales, 2 Perchron horses and a Great Dane named “Tiny”.

She loved the outdoors so much that she would be in the corrals with the cows and horses, just playing with them. She was always busy- working construction with her dad, helping him fix fences, and build corrals. She helped run cows, round them up and taking care of the everyday ranch chores.

Marsha always had a lot of friends and cousins who enjoyed her company. She loved her family very much. Every Sunday was a special day for her as many of her relatives would come to visit and make a day to spend with all of the children.

She was used to being around family just laughing and joking with one another. They would all ride horses and at the end of the day, before she would leave, she always said, “I love you.”

Marsha is survived by her mother, Viola Loafer; brothers, Richard Loafer and Travis (Destiny) Loafer; nieces, Kaydence, Marie, Mariah, Makayla, Makenzie, and Kassiah; nephews, Clay and Bill; and special friends, Gabrielle (Fineran) Shots With Arrow.
