A Mass of Christian Burial for 59-year old Maurice Ramos will be Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church in Rapid City, SD, with Fr Ed Witt, SJ, officiating.
Burial is at 11:30 at the Mountain View Cemetery in Rapid City, followed by a luncheon at the Mother Butler Center.
Visitation is Thurs, May 19, from 5:;-7:00 PM at St Isaac Jogues Catholic Church with a vigil service starting at 7:00.
Maurice Clayton Ramos was born on March 23, 1963 at the Chanute AFB Hospital in Rantoul, IL to Rebecca (Hunter) Ramos and Federico Ramos. Maurice made his journey to the Spirit World on May 14, 2022 at the Monument Health Hospital in Rapid City, SD.
Maurice is survived by his siblings, Monnie C. Ramos, Manuel Ramos, Federico “Kookie” (Toni) Ramos of Rapid City, SD, Martin L. Ramos of Seattle, WA; and Maria C. Ramos; niece, Rebecca LaBelle of Rapid City, SD; and great nieces, Celeste Myers and Cherish Schimdt of Rapid City, SD.
Maurice was preceded in death by his parents, Rebecca (Hunter) Ramos and Federico Ramos; baby brother, Mateo Ramos; paternal grandparents, Mateo & Maria (Rodriguez) Ramos; maternal grandparents, Stephan & Maggie (Gibbons) Hunter; paternal uncles, Amador (Sara) Ramos, Dionicio “Danny” (Stella) Ramos, and Matilde Ramos; maternal aunts and uncles, Len (Elvira) Hunter, Colleen (Harvey) Zephier, Al (Ethlyn) Hunter, Caroline “Dallas” “Sissy” (Fred) Claussen, Ambrose (Blonde) Hunter, Harland (Babe) Hunter, Sidney (Caroline) Hunter, Patricia “Patsy” Jackson, and John Hunter, Jr.; and cousins from the Ramos families, Hunter families, and Jackson family.
Pallbearers will be Monnie C. Ramos, Manuel I. Ramos, Federico “Kookie” Ramos, Martin L. Ramos, Maria Ramos, and Rebecca LaBelle.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Friends & Relatives.
