Nebraska Extension Specialist Jack Arterburn says Wednesday night’s Calving Workshop at the Dawes County Fairgrounds has been canceled because of the weather.
Arterburn says the decision was based on travel concerns for both local participants, who were expected to face blowing snow and high winds, and for speakers coming from southcentral Nebraska, where conditions might lead to a winter storm warning on Wednesday.
Arterburn says because of other scheduling demands, the Calving Workshop can’t be rescheduled this calving season – adding that he’s sorry for the inconvenience for all those who’d planned to attend.
