The Upper Niobrara White NRD has postponed tomorrow’s Water Education Meeting in Alliance because of the threat of continued bad weather. No make-up date has been set.
NRD Conservation Programs Coordinator Kylen Armstrong says the potential for difficult and potentially dangerous driving conditions makes it wiser and safer to wait for better weather.
The free, one-day educational event at the Alliance Eagles Club will include speakers on a wide range of topics from aquifer recharge and climate outlooks to legislative updates and cost-share programs through the NRD. It will also have several local vendors on hand for networking opportunities.
RSVPs were required for a free lunch as part of the Water Education Meeting, but Armstrong says that was to make sure enough food was ordered. She says RSVPs will again be needed when a new date is set.
