Graveside services for 67-year old Richard Ghost Bear are Tuesday, November 16, 2021 at 2:00 at the Gospel Mission Church in Porcupine, SD, with Pastor David Lays Bad officiating.
Richard John Ghost Bear “Mato Wanagi” was born March 2, 1954 in Rapid City, SD to John Rudy Ghost Bear and Helen (Little Boy) Ghost Bear. Richard made his journey to the Spirit World on November 5, 2021 at home in Sioux Falls, SD.
Richard is survived by his sons, Frank W. Galligo and John J. Galligo, both of Rapid City, SD; siblings, Lydia Galligo of Rapid City, SD and Willard Hawk Wing of Vacaville, CA; and 8 grandchildren.
Richard was preceded in death by his parents, John Rudy Ghost Bear and Helen (Little Boy) Ghost Bear; siblings, Seth Red Shirt, Jr. and Barbara Lays Bad; and grandparents, Lizzie Boyer Little Boy, Thomas Little Boy, Jeanie Crazy Horse-Ghost Bear, and Charles Ghost Bear, Sr.
Pallbearers will be Frank W. Galligo, John J. Galligo, Doyle Galligo, Dominant Galligo, Titan Galligo, Kiah Galligo, Ezra Galligo, Elon Galligo, and Willard Hawk Wing.
Honorary Pallbearers will be Kathy & Wayne High Hawk, Geraldine Little Boy, Wynette High Hawk, and All of Richard’s Kholas and Relatives.
