Steven Ray Long was born on July 24, 1964 in Pine Ridge, SD to Arthur Franklin Long and Henrietta “Babe” (O’Rourke) King. Steven made his journey to the Spirit World on June 20, 2022 in Rapid City, SD.
Steven is survived by his daughter, Amber Kay Long of Oceanside, CA; son, Steven Ray Long, Jr. of Oceanside, CA; siblings, Leonard Long, Victoria Peres, Cecil Long of Flandreau, SD, Patricia Cook of Phoenix, AZ, Lorrie King of Rapid City, SD, Robert Rosales of Rapid City, SD, Louie Long of Sioux Falls, SD, Robert Long of Rapid City, SD, Dee Shane (Ross) Long of Rapid City, SD and Connie Hopkins; numerous nieces, nephews, and grandchildren; and great grandchildren, Eveline and Riley.
Steven was preceded in death by his parents, Arthur Franklin Long and Henrietta “Babe” King; brothers, Patrick King, Arthur Long, Jr., and Michael Long; sister, Adele Davis; paternal grandparents, Francis Siers and Albert Long Pumpkin; maternal grandparents, Henry and Alice O’Rourke; and many aunts, uncles, and relatives.
Steven took his baby sister, Dee Shane Long in at the age of 15 and raised her like his own daughter.
Pallbearers will be Chico Long, Donivan Long, Devon Long, Daine Long, Robert Rosales, Ross Sletten, Leon Plumman, Monnie Ramos, Henry George O’Rourke, Leonard Long, and Robert Ward.
Honorary pallbearers will be All Veterans, Homeless Community, The Care Campus, Woyatan Lutheran Church, The Hope Center, RV Ministry, Journey On, The RCPD, and All of his Friends & Relatives.
Wake Services: One night wake service starting at 4:00 PM, Monday, June 27, 2022 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City, SD with evening services starting at 7:00 PM.
Funeral Services: 11:00 AM, Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at the On Common Ground Church in Rapid City, SD
