Chadron, NE – Charity Stowell, who was part of the team that visited Chadron and produced, “The Dispatch, Chadron; The Greatest Little Town You’ve Never Heard Of” contacted Chadron Mayor George Klein on May 19. She wanted him to know that the Chadron episode is a 2026 Gold Telly and Silver Telly winner. She said, “We are quite proud of this episode and are grateful for all who were part of it. Thank you again, for your time helping us to tell the story of our time in Chadron.”
The Chadron episode shows Chadron in a very positive light. The team visited tourist attractions and businesses, showing the college and interviewing Chadron State Park.
Mayor Klein was interviewed by Nebraska Public Radio prior to the Nebraska vs. Northern Colorado Greeley game in Chadron. When Klein mentioned “The Dispatch” presentation to the contact person, she had already seen it. Charity Stowell told Klein that a producer from NPR reached out to her about obtaining footage for their use at the Nebraska game. Chadron has heard from a lot of former residents who have seen the Chadron episode and commented on how well it was done. The episode can be watched here.
