Troopers with the Nebraska State Patrol have arrested one person after discovering over 500 pounds of cocaine during a traffic stop on Interstate 80 Wednesday.
According to a release from the Nebraska State Patrol at around 10:30 Wednesday morning a trooper saw a Nissan Rogue following a semi too closely along I-80 near Milford. During the traffic stop a Nebraska State Patrol K9 detected the order of a controlled substance coming from inside the vehicle.
During the subsequent search, troopers found approximately 525 of suspected cocaine and just over nine grams of heroin.
Troopers arrested the driver, identified as 23 year old Gurarppan Gill of Yuba City, California on charges of possession of a controlled substance and possession with intent to deliver. He was lodged in the Seward County Jail.
