Unattended Death Of Rancher Dale Anderson Ruled Natural Causes

Dawes County Attorney/Coroner Vance Haug says a rural Dawes County rancher died of natural causes at his home Wednesday morning.

Family found 74-year old Dale Anderson unresponsive in the family home about 9:00 am.

Haug says a review of evidence at the scene, witness interviews, and consultations with medical personnel led to his determination of natural causes, although the specific cause of death remains under investigation.

  1. Dear Pam,
I admired Dale so much. He was a comforting force to so many people. If there’s anything I can do, please don’t hesitate to ask.

  2. I met Dale for the first time when I started 5th grade. He was always one of my favorite friends. He was just so kind to everyone and I don’t think he had a mean bone in his body.
I was able to sit and visit with Dale at our 50 class reunion a few years back. It was so refreshing to see that he hadn’t changed from the kind cordial person I remember. One of the things I really enjoyed hearing about was his family. He talked so highly of his wife Pam, and his children, and their families.
He will be missed so much by the community, his family, and his friends.
My condolences and prayers for them.
