Zach was born in Brighton, Colorado on December 12, 2003 to Christopher and Trisha Lemke. The third and youngest sibling, he loved to spend his time annoying his older brother and sister by wanting to tag along and be a part of whatever they were doing.
As he grew up, he was less the annoying little brother and more their hilarious sibling who could make anyone laugh. He fully embraced his silly side and was always proud to be himself no matter who was around. He could distract your worry from a sad, stressful or serious moment by cracking you up, calming your fears, and giving a comforting hug, all in that one interaction. There were no bad days with Zach.
He loved his mom more than anyone and even as a young man, still initiated big hugs from her. He was equally close to his dad, always looking up to him. He loved all things that Chris loved, guns, trucks, cars, fishing, boats, and anything sweet. In early 2022, Zach was so proud to go to Nebraska and embark on the new journey where he lived and worked alongside his dad and big bro.
The most recent summer was a great one for Zach. He was thrilled to be in Jordan’s wedding and have his brother and new sister-in-law Michaela move to Nebraska. Thanks to Zach, they had rekindled their high school love. He spent his time working/goofing around at the family shop, hanging out with his best friend and girlfriend Allie, with whom he was planning a future, and going to the lake.
He had such a bromance with his brother-in-law Al that there were concerns Meghan would be left out, but Zach didn’t worry because he knew his niece MiaLynn was joining the family soon and would keep Meghan company.
Zach loved God and had a strong sense of respect for life. He lived every moment as if it was his last, and for that reason, we know he had no regrets! He experienced a gamut of emotions and so much adventure in his brief 18 years. He loved to be doing things with his family and his dogs, whether it was camping/boating trips to the lake, annual family vacations, or BBQs in the backyard, it didn’t matter as long as they were together.
Zach will be missed by anyone he encountered. The memories will continue to flood our hearts, make us laugh, and provide us with comfort, just as Zach did while he was here.
The Lord called Zachary home on August 29, 2022.
He is survived by his parents Chris and Trisha Lemke, his brother Jordan (Michaela) Lemke, sister Meghan (Alvaro) Perez, niece MiaLynn Perez, girlfriend Allie Ohm, cousin RyeAnn Geschwell, grandparents Bob Parrish and Beth Knox, grandmother Sandy Lemke, grandparents Sherry (Art) Loveless, his dogs Max, Mojo, and Layla, multiple loving aunts, uncles, and cousins, godparents Paul and Sue Albers, and close friends Stephanie and Marty Ohm.
Zach was preceded in death by his great-grandparents and grandfather William “Bill” Lemke.
Many prayers go out to family and friends.
