Skee was a notable and well-known educator, an advocate for the growth and development of young adults. He had a big heart for his students, friends and family.

Skee graduated from Pine Ridge High School and continued his education at Haskell University, then Oglala Lakota College where he received his Bachelors in Business Administration and his Master Degree in Leadership and Management.

He was employed with the Oglala Sioux Tribe in the FAO Department, Tribal Courts as a Tribal Prosecutor, Economical Development Department, and was a Counselor for the Wounded Knee District College Center.

Skee was an advocate for Tribal Rights and Leadership, and a strong supporter of Treaties and Indian Rights. He was a support system for Lakota men by holding men’s support groups.

Skee relocated to Brigham City, Utah, to work at the Intermountain Indian School until its closing, then was employed by Morton Thiokol in the production of supplies and equipment for the NASA program.

He eventually returned to the Pine Ridge Indian Reservation and continued his education, finding his true passion as an Instructor at Oglala Lakota College.

Skee was truly dedicated and was the inspiration for many students and cohorts. He had a real passion for competing at the AIHEC Conference in the Business Competitions, but illness eventually forced him to retire from being an Instructor at Oglala Lakota College.

  1. Rest in peace Paul. May your soul and the souls of all the dearly departed rest in peace. Amen. I didn’t know Paul very long, but we had some neat discussions down at the auto store. I liked the man.

  2. Rest Peacefully, Skee! I’m going to miss our chats at Helen’s, over Hot Tea and salad! From the time I was 14, through college at OLC in Pine Ridge to now you have given me great stories, great insight and great laughs. Thank you for blessing my life with your presence.
